HazMat Training

Training will be hosted by the Waukegan Fire Department. The FBI and the Waukegan Fire Department Hazardous Devices (Bomb) Team will instruct this class on home bomb labs, IEDs, precursor chemicals, and the FBI’s needs and expectations of the MABAS Divisions 4 & 5 SRT HazMat Team on incidents. Training will include mostly classroom time with some practical demonstrations and skills included. Class will give attendees the knowledge, as the possible first hazardous materials responder on scene, to differentiate between bomb and drug labs based on precursors found as well as knowing what the FBI will be expecting from the SRT HazMat Team should an incident arise.
